H.G. Bishop Sarapamon’s Visit to St. Antony Monastery, CA, and Hegumen Anastasi St. Antony, the executive of the Monastery
The monastery has been blessed by the visit of H.G. Bishop Sarapamon, Bishop and Abbot of St. Pishoi monastery in Egypt. H.G. arrived at the airport, on Wednesday April 26, coming from Egypt and was received by Hegumen Anastasi St. Antony, the executive of the monastery and some of the fathers of the monastery. Hegumen Anastasi arrived at the monastery, with H.G., after his ordination as a Hegumen by H.H. Pope Shenouda III on April 1 and appointing him executive of the monastery by a papal decree. (See Below) Hegumen Anastasi received responsibilities and documents in the monastery under the supervision
of H.G. Bishop Sarapamon who was present at that time according to the direction of H.H. Pope Shenouda III.
Thanksgiving and Congratulations
+ The congregation of the fathers the monks and brethren of St. Antony monastery; Hegumen Anastasi, Fr. Moussa, Fr. Angailos, Fr. Maximos, Fr. Shenouda, Fr. Rafael, Fr. Antonious, Fr. Marcus, Fr. David, Br. Abanoub, Br. Theodore thank H.H. Pope Shenouda III for ordaining Hegumen Anastasi and appointing him an executive of the monastery. Also, they congratulate Hegumen Anastasi on that occasion, and beseech the Lord to help him in his new duties, through the prayers of H.H. Pope Shenouda III. Also, they thank his partner in the ministry H.G. Bishop Sarapamon for his effort and his visit. May the Lord keep their
lives for many years and peaceful extended times.
+ H.G. Bishop Sarapamon prayed the Divine Liturgies in the monastery, and sat with the fathers in spiritual and arrangement meetings to ensure the pursue of the matters in the monastery and hear the opinions and suggestions of the fathers.
+ H.G. beatified the relics of St. Mark the Apostle, the evangelist on Sunday May 7, the eve of his feast
which is on May 8.
Papal Decree No. 12/35 Concerning Saint Antony Monastery, California, U.S.A.
1- Hegumen Anastasi St. Antony is appointed as a general executive of the monastery, to manage it in every aspect under our supervision and guidance.
2- A process of delivering and receiving all the responsibilities and documents to be supervised by H.G. Bishop Sarapamon.
3- This way, the period of the stewardship of Hegumen Benyamin El Baramosy for St. Antony monastery ends and he goes back to El-Baramos monastery in Egypt.
4-All the monks of St. Antony Monastery should keep the peace of the monastery and its reputation, and obey in love the executive of the monastery.

H. H. Pope Shenouda III, pope of Alexandria and patriarch of the See of St. Mark, underwent a successful surgery on the cartilage of the backbone in Cleveland Clinic Hospital in the U.S. on Sunday, October 22, 2006. We thank God for the successful surgery and beseech Him to keep his life for many peaceful years.

The visit of H.G. Bishop Apollo to the monastery:
The monastery was blessed by the visit of H.G. Bishop Apollo on Saturday, September 2. H.G. prayed
the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, September 3, and had a spiritual meeting with the fathers.
The visit of H.G. Bishop Estefanos to the monastery:
The monastery was blessed by the visit of H.G. Bishop Estefanos, Bishop of Biba and El-Fashan (Beni
Swef, Upper Egypt). H.G. prayed the Divine Liturgy on Tuesday September 19, and had a spiritual meeting with fathers and congregation. Fr. Bishoi Kamel, from St. Marina's Church, also attended.
H.H. Pope Shenouda's Visit to St. Antony's Monastery
His Holiness Pope Shenouda III visited the monastery on Friday, August 27, 2004. During H.H. Pope Shenouda's blessed visit, His Holiness consecrated two monks — Monk Dawod St. Antony (previously, Brother Fam) and Monk Karas St. Antony (previously, Brother Karas).
Additionally, His Holiness ordained many deacons—with the Psaltos (reader) rank—and, finally, His Holiness ordained a priest for the monastery, a Monk Priest or a "hieromonk" — Father Marcus St. Antony (previously, Monk Marcus St. Antony).
His Holiness granted the apostolic blessing to the monastery's congregation and visitors. His Holiness also visited the shrine of the late His Grace Bishop Karas.
Five Bishops accompanied His Holiness during this visit — H.G. Bishop Sarabamon, H.G. Bishop Rewis, H.G. Bishop Serapion, H.G. Bishop Antony, and H.G. Bishop Apollo.
Father Hegumen Flemon Mahros, Fr. Augustinos Hanna, Fr. Youhanna Ebrahim, and Fr. Antony Attallah attended this occasion as well.
